Better LearnUs(이하 “확장 프로그램”)는 연세대학교 LearnUs(ys.learnus.org)의 화면을 새로 꾸며 주는 비공식 브라우저 확장 프로그램이에요. 개인 개발자가 만들었고, 연세대학교·LearnUs와 관련이 없어요.

개발자는 어떤 개인정보도 받지 않아요. 확장 프로그램이 읽고 저장하는 정보는 모두 내 브라우저 안에만 있어요. 광고·분석 도구·추적 기능은 없어요.
브라우저 안에서 처리하는 정보
새 화면을 만들기 위해, 이미 로그인한 내 LearnUs 페이지에서 아래 정보를 읽어요. 이름을 뺀 나머지는 화면을 빨리 보여 주려고 브라우저 저장소(chrome.storage)에 보관해요.
- 강좌 목록, 강좌 코드, 담당 교수 이름, 학습률
- 동영상·퀴즈·과제의 기간과 마감 시각, 완료 여부
- 온라인 출석부의 동영상별 필요 시간·시청 시간·출석 표시(O/▲/X)
- 강좌 공지·자료실 게시글의 제목, 날짜, 첨부파일 이름
- 지난 강좌 목록(연도·학기·강좌명·학정번호): 졸업 요건 계산용
- 과제 설명에 적힌 제출 파일 형식·이름 규칙: 제출 전 확인용
- 화면에 보이는 내 이름(위쪽 막대 표시용)
내가 직접 입력하거나 고른 정보도 저장해요.
- 테마·색·글꼴 등 꾸미기 설정, 인사에 쓸 이름, D-day, 강좌 별명·색·숨김
- 할 일 체크 표시, 직접 추가한 할 일, 출석 확인에서 '확인했어요'로 숨긴 항목, 메모, 학점 계산기 입력, 카드에 올린 사진
- 수강 계획에 담은 강의, 졸업 요건의 전공·학번 선택과 과목별 수정, 직접 붙여 넣은 포털 성적표(과목·학점·성적), 진로 화면에서 고른 학과, 제출 전 확인의 파일 이름 예시에 넣은 학번
꾸미기 설정과 강좌 별명·색은 Chrome 동기화를 켜 둔 경우 내 Google 계정의 다른 기기로 동기화될 수 있어요(Chrome의 기능이에요). 나머지는 이 컴퓨터에만 있어요. 비밀번호는 읽지도 저장하지도 않아요. ‘로그인 유지’를 위해 LearnUs 페이지에 들어 있는 세션 키(sesskey)와 마지막으로 LearnUs를 쓴 시각만 이 컴퓨터에 저장해요.
확장 프로그램이 연결하는 곳
- ys.learnus.org: 위 정보를 읽기 위해 내 로그인 상태로 LearnUs 페이지와 일정 정보를 불러와요. 첨부파일 이름을 알기 위해 첨부가 있는 게시글을 한 번 읽는데, 이때 LearnUs 조회수가 1 올라갈 수 있어요. ‘로그인 유지’를 켜 두면(기본) 브라우저가 켜져 있는 동안 5분마다 일정 정보를 한 건만 묻는 아주 작은 요청을 보내 로그인이 끊기지 않게 해요(LearnUs 탭이 없을 때는 확장 프로그램의 백그라운드에서 보내요). 7일 동안 LearnUs를 쓰지 않으면 멈춰요.
- 연세포털 로그인 주소: ‘자동 로그인’을 켜 두면(기본) 로그아웃된 상태로 LearnUs를 열었을 때 LearnUs의 ‘연세포털 로그인’ 버튼과 같은 주소로 바로 이동해요. 직접 로그아웃한 뒤에는 하지 않아요. 비밀번호는 읽지도 저장하지도 않아요.
- fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com: 꾸미기에서 Google 글꼴을 직접 고른 경우에만 그 글꼴을 내려받아요. 이때 Google은 일반 웹 글꼴 요청처럼 IP 주소 등을 받을 수 있어요. 기본 글꼴(Pretendard)은 확장 프로그램 안에 들어 있어요.
그 밖의 서버로는 아무것도 보내지 않아요. 개발자의 서버도 없어요.
알림
마감 알림은 직접 켜야 동작하고, 그때 브라우저가 알림 권한을 물어요. 알림은 저장된 마감 정보로 브라우저 안에서 만들어져요.
제3자 제공·판매
정보를 누구에게도 제공하거나 판매하지 않아요. 확장 프로그램의 기능과 관계없는 목적이나 신용 평가·대출 목적으로 쓰지 않아요.
보관 기간과 삭제
확장 프로그램을 삭제하면 브라우저에 저장된 정보도 함께 지워져요. 꾸미기 메뉴의 ‘모두 초기화’로 설정을 지울 수 있어요. 마감·캐시 정보는 일정 시간이 지나면 새로 고쳐지고, 지난 할 일 체크는 마감 2주 뒤에 지워져요.

이 사이트는 쿠키나 분석 도구를 쓰지 않아요. 호스팅 업체(Netlify)가 서비스 운영을 위해 접속 기록(IP 주소 등)을 남길 수 있어요.

Better LearnUs (“the extension”) is an unofficial browser extension that redesigns Yonsei University’s LearnUs (ys.learnus.org). It is made by an individual developer and is not affiliated with Yonsei University or LearnUs.
Summary
The developer receives no personal data. Everything the extension reads or stores stays in your browser. There are no ads, analytics or tracking.
Information handled inside your browser
To build its pages, the extension reads the following from the LearnUs pages you are already signed in to, and keeps all of it except your name in browser storage (chrome.storage) so pages load quickly: your course list, course codes, professor names and progress; video, quiz and assignment windows, deadlines and completion; the required time, watched time and attendance mark (O/▲/X) of each video in your online attendance report (온라인 출석부); titles, dates and attachment names of course announcements and file boards; your past-course list (year, term, course name and code, for the graduation check); the file type and naming rules written in assignment instructions (for the submit check); and your display name. It also stores what you enter or choose: appearance settings (including the name used in the greeting and your D-days), course nicknames, colours and hidden courses, to-do ticks, tasks you add, attendance items you mark as checked, notes, grade-calculator entries, card pictures, classes added to the course planner, your graduation-check choices, edits and any grade table you paste in, the department you pick on the career page, and the student number you may type for the submit check’s example file name. Appearance settings and course nicknames may sync to your other devices through Chrome Sync if you have it turned on; everything else stays on this computer. Passwords are never read or stored. For “Stay signed in”, only the session key (sesskey) printed in LearnUs pages and the time you last used LearnUs are kept on this computer.
Network connections
- ys.learnus.org, using your existing session, to read the pages and calendar data above. To list attachments, a post that has one is read once, which may add one view to that post on LearnUs. With “Stay signed in” on (the default), while the browser is open the extension sends one tiny request every 5 minutes (asking for a single calendar item) so LearnUs doesn’t sign you out — from a LearnUs tab, or from the extension’s background when none is open; it stops after 7 days without you using LearnUs.
- The Yonsei Portal sign-in address, only with “Sign back in” on (the default): when LearnUs opens signed out, the extension follows LearnUs’s own “연세포털 로그인” button for you. It never does this after you log out yourself, and it never reads or stores your password.
- fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com, only if you pick a Google font in the Customize menu. Google may receive your IP address as with any web-font request. The default font (Pretendard) is bundled.
Nothing is sent anywhere else. The developer runs no server.
Sharing and sale
No data is shared with or sold to anyone, used for purposes unrelated to the extension’s single purpose, or used to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
Retention and deletion
Uninstalling the extension deletes its stored data. “Reset all” in the Customize menu clears settings. Cached deadlines refresh automatically, and old to-do ticks are removed two weeks after their deadline.
